Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach an amazing group of magnet students. They are enthusiastic, focused, and enjoy a hands-on approach to learning.
Due to COVID-19, we are separated by distance.
My students are learning from home and I am teaching from my home. It's not an easy situation, but we continue to learn from each other. With the support of parents, students, and administration, we will persevere and provide the best education possible for our students!
My students attend a Title I school in a low-income area. The entire school participates in a free breakfast and lunch program. They need support to get the basic school supplies and resources to learn from home.
My Project
I am inspired by my good friend who requested snacks for her students to keep them going during Zoom.
I am also requesting snacks for my students.
During break time, I would like all of my students to have a snack to enjoy and to give them a boost of energy. As we focus on equity and inclusion, I'd like all of my students to have snacks to enjoy despite their parents' ability to afford snacks for the family.
I am excited about this project, because the snacks will go directly to my students and straight into their tummies! I normally would not request Flamin' Hot Cheetos, but this will be a treat for them. I know the kids love them!
