I am a lucky teacher to work with a bunch of amazing students in Casper, WY. I work at a title school, which means that most often, students don't have the resources to bring their own snacks to school (or even arrive in the morning with a full tummy). Learning is super hard work, which requires lots of brain activity, which often results in a growling stomach!
Healthy snacks help manage kids' hunger and boost nutrition.
Snacks can also keep them from getting so hungry that they get cranky - and trust me this happens frequently! Oftentimes, a little "pick me up" is all that is needed to help kids get through the hour or two until lunchtime. My students would be most thankful for a little something that would provide them with some energy in the middle of the day.
