My Students

I teach at an accelerated magnet public school. We are located in Metairie, LA, just outside of New Orleans. Our students come from diverse backgrounds.

My students are highly motivated and love hands-on learning.

Many of our students have been classified as academically gifted or artistically talented. They are passionate learners who are eager to be a part of the lesson. I try to create lessons that maximize their creativity. My students love simulations and historical re-enactments. We need a few things to make that happen.

My Project

With your help, I hope to bring a little joy to my students in my US History classes. These high school juniors have had every year of their high school experience disrupted by the pandemic. We have been locked down, hybrid, and masked face to masked face. Add to that two major hurricanes, and you'll see why my students need a break. Our lunch time isn't until 1:30 which is late for all of us. These healthy snacks will help my students make it to lunch time. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
