My students are in a 12:1:1 classroom. They have been together for five years and are excited for a new year and new start! My students are all learning disabled, but are full of energy and excitement. They are well-behaved and love science and math. Our school is a Title I school with every student receiving free lunch.
Learning disabilities do not keep my students from achieving their goals.
They work extra hard to keep up and they enjoy learning new topics.
My students are requesting snacks to keep their energy level up during the day. My students are in a title one school where 100% of students qualify for free lunch. Many times they do not bring a snack in for midday. Our class takes a pause at 10 am to refuel and reenergize. At this point, they are allowed to play games and socialize with their friends, while having a snack. Students become very upset if they do not have a snack packed for them.
Snacks, like rice krispy treats and fruit rollups are a perfect and quick refuel for my students that they desperately need during the day.
