My students need a snack each day. The graham crackers and Goldfish will help them be able to have a snack and focus on learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school serves a number of students who are learning English as a second language. A high percentage of our students qualify for the federal school lunch and breakfast program. Our school serves diverse students who come from many different cultures. Our community is diverse as well. We are working hard to recover from the recent hurricane and keep learning while rebuilding.
Many families have been displaced by the storm and are working hard to meet every day needs.
Many students are living with family or friends, in hotels, or other situations.
My Project
My students are a lively group of third-graders. The majority of students in class qualify for the school breakfast and lunch program and enjoy healthy meals at school. My students want a snack after a long morning of learning to give them energy for PE class. Some students don't bring a snack and tell me that they are hungry when the class is having snack.
These students rely on me to provide a snack.
This gets expensive, but I don't want any student to be hungry. Having a supply of snacks on hand will be very helpful. Students are much more likely to focus on learning if they are not hungry.
