This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a P.E. Coach sponsoring for the first year our campus the Patrols. We are in a low income/ high poverty neighborhood in San Antonio Texas in a Title I district.

The students main goal of Safety Patrol is to be a part of the team that keeps our school safe.

Most of the time that means reminding students to walk in the halls and keep walkways clear for student traffic, but sometimes students help younger students find classrooms or other resources in our school. The characteristics of a Safety Patrol are to always set a good example and to perform duties faithfully.

My Project

I am requesting snacks to provide for my hard working safety patrol students. Every day, these hard-working students come to school very early and/or stay extra late. They are on patrol in the rain, wind, and cold. Therefore I want to reward them for being a wonderful explain in our community with snack after a long hard working day ensuring their campus is running smoothly.

School Safety Patrol membership is an honored position and they are always on the job.

Each Patrol is assigned an area of the school to protect. So I want to reward them for being a good job with snacks after school.
