My Project
Our school is in a low income neighborhood and most of our students eat the breakfast and lunch that is provided by our school cafeteria. As our school is an old building and is growing every year in terms of the grades we serve, the students eat breakfast in the classroom. In addition, since we are an extended learning school, my students are at school from 9:20-4:20 each day and need to have a small snack each afternoon to keep their bellies full and their brain's ability to function with the necessary "fuel" that a healthy snack provides.
Since a daily snack is not provided by the school district, and many of our students families do not have the resources to provide individual snacks each day or donate items for whole class usage, I am asking for donations of snacks for the students to eat at our daily snack time.
