Snacks for Hungry Kids

Help me give my students snacks and hard candy to help curb daily hunger and improve focusing on learning.

My Project

Providing access to resources and support they need to be successful in their general education classrooms is of utmost importance to me as a special education teacher.

The students I work closely with often come to school hungry and then come into my classroom needing support by way of a snack or some sour or sweet candy that increases focusing.

Students with ADHD and other health needs often require a quick snack to manage hunger in the Algebra class before lunch or chewy options like gum and Starburst or tangy Jolly Ranchers work great for this discreet support to improve focusing.

Additionally, essential supplies like colored pencils and giant graphing chart paper provide fun ways for my students to show their work to the entire class. These tools make the biggest difference some days. Please help me fund this project which typically comes out of my own pocket!
