My class is a family of learners. I teach a classroom full of smiles, determination, silliness, and unwavering love. My students face intellectual, physical, emotional, and now technological challenges every day but they never give up. When they can't verbally communicate, they find a way. They find a way to show how much they care.
My students possess beautiful strengths and aspire to make the world a better place.
My students have faced varying degrees of trauma at home. With your help, I will create an even brighter, positive, and enriching environment to foster their growth in an urban school district with limited resources. With this project, I am requesting snacks for our special education classroom.
I am requesting snacks to keep their bellies full until lunch! When a student realizes there isn't a special snack in their book bag from home, it breaks my heart! My students love popcorn, pretzels and their favorite, goldfish crackers. They have so much stacked against them, an empty stomach shouldn't be on that list!
This project will make sure every student has a special snack to fill their bellies during the day.
When students have their basic needs fulfilled, they can focus more on learning! Due to the pandemic, our school lunches are spread out which means we have many hours between breakfast and lunch. Thank you for helping me provide snacks so they are not hungry!
