Snacks for Food Insecure Students

Help me give my students snacks to fuel their minds and bodies as well as add food security to their lives.

My Project

I serve refugee students. They come from various backgrounds, but the majority come from very meager conditions. In the fall, I set up a project for snacks as I knew the importance a stable supply of food would provide. We have burned through that supply and I have been supplying the snacks myself, but it is getting to be very expensive on my own.

With regular access to food, support, and a safe and welcoming classroom, these students are thriving!

We no longer have the hoarding of food, the stealing and the aggression they came with. Snack time has become an integral part of our class coming together as a community made up of 10 different countries and 6 different languages!
