My Students
It is always a joy for me to see the children come enthusiastically in the classroom at the kickoff of a new school year. In first grade, everyone is eager to learn how to read! My young scholars have various learning styles and a wide range of learning abilities.
Most of my children speak Spanish with English as a second language.
Many of my parents are only Spanish-speaking. First grade is the building block for the rest of their lives.
My Project
My students need snacks, including crackers, breakfast biscuits, Goldfish, granola bars, Cheez-It's, popcorn, cereal, Rice Krispie treats, oatmeal, fruit snacks, animal crackers, lollipops, and pretzels to get us through our morning before lunch. They come to school very hungry from the long weekend and need a little snack to get their minds off their hunger and back into learning!
Having these snacks will make our classroom happy and full!
I also think this will help keep us on a routine since we have snack almost every day, we can still stick to the same schedule!
The snacks will help my students stay healthy and focused on their learning. If they eat a snack each day they will be able to be healthier by having access to food that will feed their brain while they learn. The snacks will provide nutrients to help them focus on the task at hand versus their own hunger. The containers will keep them organized!
