My students are first-graders who are always ready to learn something new! Their goals at school are to be respectful, be kind, show a good work ethic, and never give up. Our school is located in a large urban area and the vast majority of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Despite facing challenges and disadvantages, my dedicated and resilient first-graders come to school each day ready to learn and work towards reaching their goals.
My goal is to provide my students with a stable environment that is filled with positive and rewarding experiences. Providing my students with an environment that is safe, fun, and comfortable will help them stay engaged and will give them a place to celebrate their successes with each other!
My Project
My students ask for snacks daily at school. Why? Many students do not have the means to pack a snack, do not eat breakfast, or go to aftercare programs up until dinner time. Students come into school hungry and many know they would be hungry when they leave.
"Snacks for First Grade" allows me to provide snacks to students no matter the circumstance with no questions asked.
When students are in my room I want them to feel safe, valued and loved. By helping provide snacks for my class you help students meet their basic needs so they can focus on learning and having fun! Students can ask for a snack at school or to bring home. They know they are taken care of with no questions asked.
