This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The students often go without as they live in a high-poverty area and a supply of snacks ensures that no child is hungry.
When children's tummies are full, they can do their best at school.
Many children enjoy eating snacks on their way home from school, especially as there isn't a guarantee that there will be snacks at home. In addition to letting the children take snacks home after school, snacks are helpful when a child arrives to class late and misses the free breakfast provided at school. These snacks include items such as cookies, chips, organic snacks, and Nutri Grain Bars.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
