My Students

I work at a Title I school located in Tacoma, Washington. My class will be filled with bright students from diverse backgrounds who come to school excited to learn every day.

My students are future engineers, teachers, and politicians, and we are working hard in fourth grade to prepare for college, career, and citizenship.

Because of our diverse backgrounds, my students have diverse strengths and needs. I work hard to plan exciting activities and experiences to meet their needs every day.

My Project

We need snacks such as pretzels and crackers from quill to keep our bellies full all day. My students have a short lunch block at 11am, but stay in school until 3:30pm. Most of them don't eat enough at lunch to stay full until their next meal at 4 or 5pm, so we need an afternoon snack to keep us going.

Snacks give our bodies and brains energy to make it through the rest of the afternoon at school.

Without snacks, kindergarteners will get grumpy and more tired. I think we can all relate!

I will provide snacks for students all year, so these donations really help us.
