Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My school has many students who are low income. All students in my school receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Our school has a late start time and a late release time. Many students are not getting on the bus until after 4:30 PM and are not getting home from school until around 5:30 PM. This makes for a very long day.

Help give my students snacks for to have before they begin practicing while waiting for their bus to arrive.

Every day I have students come to my room after their last class asking if I have something to eat. They are always hungry after their long day at school. By the time they finally get home it is already dinner time. Your donation will help allow me to provide them with snacks after school so they are not hungry. It will also allow them to concentrate better and be more successful in their after school rehearsal.
