This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are full of wonder about what they will learn in school each day. Our students are from low-income families and receive free or reduced cost breakfast and lunch throughout the year. Many of our students come from a Spanish speaking background or any number of other languages. Imagine coming to a new country and a new school and having no idea what is going on; for many of our students, that is what school is like.

Our students walk into class every day with a smile on their face, and they are eager and willing to participate and learn.

My Project

Help me give my students snacks to help foster their learning in school. My students need snacks to eat at the end of the day and before their after school programs. They eat lunch very early in the morning and they need these snacks to remain focused for the rest of the day. The gloves they receive from this project will keep them nice and warm during recess and when they walk to and from school!

The snacks and gloves they receive from this project will wake up their brains and keep them warm!

Students need a variety of snacks so everyone has something that they like! No one can focus on work if they are hungry! Help me keep my kids active learners!
