My Students
Every child is gifted. They just unwrap their packages at different times.
This statement describes my students to a "T".
They are 3rd-grade students who come from a disadvantaged background and are on free and reduced-price lunch. However, that does not hold them back from learning. Their enthusiasm for education radiates the minute they walk in the classroom or most recently sign on to their Zoom lessons. As more of my students are making their way back to the brick and mortar classroom, the more their needs become more aware to their teachers.
My Project
These snack materials will be used for the students who are returning to the classroom in person. It is truly difficult for elementary students to stay focused, especially in a classroom that is isolating them from each other and the teacher. A nice little snack midday would perk them up and provide a little energy boost to finish the day. My students do not all have the resources to bring in a daily snack so it would be great if I had snacks readily available for them to enjoy in the afternoon.
