My Project

My students are often hungry throughout the school day! Their growing bodies need to fuel up more often to keep them focused in school.

A lot of my students no longer can wait until lunch time, their tummies are grumbling a lot sooner, and they often rely on the snacks I provide during morning recess to hold them over.

As an adult, I can't function or think well if my stomach's grumbling, so I can't imagine how students feel trying to learn and pay attention when their tummies are empty. They often forget to bring snacks from home, and some students unfortunately do not have access to healthy snacks to bring to school either.

I've been having to stock up my classroom snack stash more every week because I refuse to let my students go hungry. This project will feed so many students and give them some variety in what I can provide too!
