My Project

Kids learn better on a full belly. Our school offers free breakfast and lunch to all of our kids. The majority of my class eats breakfast and lunch at school. Last year I started letting them have snacks, but bringing snacks was up to them. I found that many of my kids are unable to bring something from home.

The snacks in this project will allow all of my students the chance to have a snack daily.

Some of my students are food insecure, meaning food at home is not always a guarantee. We keep a collection of snacks in the classroom, but sometimes we run out. This project would allow my students to always have access to snacks when they need them.

These Goldfish and GoGo squeeZ Fruits will make all the difference with my students - not having to worry about being hungry ensures that they have plenty of brain power to focus on instruction and academics.
