This year has been a very challenging one for many people. I have more students who need snacks provided to them than any other year I have taught. I am requesting some of my students favorite snacks including Rice Krispy Treats, chips, Cheese and crackers, Oreo cookies, and fruit snacks. These are similar to items that are sold in our snack room.
It is not unusual for me to provide snacks to 5 or more students daily.
I am also requesting candy to put in our classroom candy bowl. We mainly use it for the desk fairy! Each morning, the "desk fairy" chooses two students who have left their desk clean and leaves a note and a little treat. My students LOVE this and it encourages them to clean up after themselves.
