Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are quick learners and such great students. They are starting to get back into the hang of in person learning. However, I teach in a title one school and we have breakfast and lunch provided for them. Many of my students are still hungry after lunch and I like to provide them a snack.

My students are growing children and always enjoy having a snack at the end of the day.

My Project

When students bellies are full, they can learn better. That is a scientifically proven fact. My students are hungry, growing children. With breakfast and lunch provided for them, they can still get hungry toward the end of the day.

Myself and my coteacher have bought snacks but providing them everyday, to over half of our students, can get costly.

We do not want our students to be left hungry when they go home. Our students each lunch at 11 then go home at 2:45. I want the ability to give my children one last chance to have something small to eat to help them stay focused and increase their learning as well as keeping their bellies full.
