My Students
I teach in a low income/high poverty school district where 100% of the students in the school receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite coming from a disadvantage neighborhood, the students come to school very happy and very eager to learn every day.
The students that I have in my classroom that I service have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.
They all vary with different strengths and abilities, and they need support to help to communicate and function socially with others.
My Project
The different cleaning supplies and healthy snacks will be used in a Special Needs classroom. We have snack time every day in the afternoon, and many of the students’ parents can not afford to provide their child a snack every day due to their restricted income. Also, cleaning supplies like disinfecting wipes, spray, and surface cleaner are needed because many of the students in the classroom get sick very easily, and keeping the room cleaned and sanitize at all times with the cleaning supplies will ensure that absences from sickness will go down and the students will be at school, and not miss out on important learning.
