This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students come from a neighborhood, where they see each other as “family”.
Students come from humble beginnings where parents are hard-workers, supportive of their child’s education, and overall respectful. These students are just a pure joy to teach.
Our students love to learn all major subjects: ELA, Math, STEAM, Technology, Writing, Science, Arts and Social Studies. The school environment is safe and very welcoming to the community.
With all their hard work, it would be a wonderful opportunity to provide these students with a healthy "working snack" to show appreciation for their continuous efforts and cleaning supplies for their classroom.
My Project
As adults, we know that the time between breakfast and lunch can be distracting with our rumbling stomachs. Taking that into consideration, healthy snacks such as pretzels, fruit snacks, granola bars, etc. will be used throughout the day during "working snack time" for students to help keep them focused on their work, not on their rumbling tummies.
A healthy, fun snack is important in a child's development.
I want my students to keep their focus more on their work and not stress out about how hungry he or she is. Healthy snacks will also show students how much their time and effort is appreciated in the class.
