Help me give my students a snack each day! My school provides breakfast and lunch since most of our students are from low-income backgrounds. However, I have been having to provide snack. Our school day is long, 7:15-4:15!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the kindest, most energetic, and intelligent students! All of my students' first language is Spanish. They work hard to learn our curriculum (which is all in English)! We have a very long school day, beginning at 7:15am and ending at 4:15. Keeping bellies full help my students do their best learning.
They show our Core Values everyday which consist of: Respect, Citizenship, Grit, Self-Regulation and Positive Attitude.
My students work hard learning about becoming important members of our society. I feel lucky to have each and every student!
My Project
With a long school day 7:15-4:15 my students need food to keep their brains and bodies ready to learn! Although we provide breakfast and lunch, students go from 7:15am-12:30pm and need a snack to hold them over and keep their minds focused. I have been providing a snack but it is becoming very expensive! These wonderful students deserve full bellies.
My students have frequent movement breaks to keep their bodies regulated but I think we can all agree that being hungry can create mood swings and make us not feel like ourselves (I think of the Snickers commercial)!
My goal is to make sure my students have everything they need to be successful in school, and in turn in their future endeavors.
The items I have chosen are various snacks such as pretzels, Goldfish, crackers, and snack bars. The individual packages will allow students to easily select a snack. I appreciate any help I can get creating an environment where students can feel happy and healthy.
