Help me give my students snacks and drinks for when they are hungry or if my diabetic students are experiencing low blood sugar!

My Project

Our school is in an under-deserved area, with a vast majority of students and their families falling below the state poverty line. Due to this, many students do not have access to enough food. This can result in a multitude of health problems such as being under-weight, inability to maintain focus in class, stomach aches, and more serious medical problems like hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar.

More often than not, students who come to the clinic with stomach aches are because they did not have dinner the night before and did not have enough breakfast.

With your help, I can provide healthy snacks like fruit and nut bars, goldfish, and organic juices to students who may be hungry due to not having enough food at home. These snacks will help my students quickly fill up on a snack and juice, then return to class to minimize the loss of instructional time. Additionally, the cookies and fruit roll snacks will enable my diabetic students to have access to potentially life-saving sources of glucose to help rapidly bring their blood glucose levels up when they are experiencing symptoms of low blood sugar.
