I am a third-grade teacher at a Title I school with over 85% of students of free or reduced lunch. In my classroom, I try to provide a safe and welcoming space where they feel safe to be themselves and open up to their peers.
My students are creative, kind, and full of curiosity.
Each child in my classroom loves to learn and come to a classroom where they feel safe and loved. Our school believes that every child can learn and my children love to challenge themselves to grow their brains daily. We have a lot of fun in class and love to laugh while we learn. Every day is another adventure that my students and I look forward to.
My Project
All of our third graders want to do their best when they come to school, but an empty belly makes this hard for them. This snack will provide a quick breakfast if they haven't had one and a snack in the afternoon to keep them going. Being a Title 1 school with over 85% of our students receiving free breakfast means most of the time they don't come with a snack. These snacks would help feed our 80 third graders and help them reach their potential with a full belly. The last thing they need to worry about in their lives is food.
