This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges in and out of the learning environment. Despite the many challenges they face, I am determined to keep the learning environment exciting by providing them with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
This past school year was definitely not how I expected it to end, but since I am not able to control certain things such as COVID-19, online teaching, I am determined to take all the necessary precautions to make sure my students have the necessary learning tools they need to learn in and outside the classroom.
My Project
The items I ordered will help my students focus more in the classroom. By giving them snacks during instruction, I am able to notice more participation and excitement in the subject area being taught. As I teacher, I also pride myself in rewarding good behavior in the classroom, and what always works is giving my scholars a treat. In return. it helps motivate the other scholars to follow suit and get recognized as well. In reality, some of the children I serve are not fortunate enough to have snacks waiting on them at home. That is the reason why I go above and beyond to make sure I have some type snacks for them at all times.
