My Students

My students have desire in their eyes! We are a Title I school so these students don't normally get anything above and beyond bare necessities. They show a desire to want to understand more, attempt new challenges, and grow in their understanding of the opportunities that they will only be introduced to in a school setting.

Every year I can see and hear the desire these kids have to learn...a desire to grow and expand their thinking processes and be exposed to things never presented to them.

I am wanting them to have the opportunity to encounter new ideas by the use of new and exciting technology in my class!

My Project

Having an iPad to use in my room will give my students the opportunity to use the app Doink. Students will be motivated to read a book and then create a Book Review using the app on this iPad! No matter what level they read at, they will be able to take part in this project!

Using this app on an iPad will allow my students to learn how to present a book review orally and how to set up and import themselves or another image, video or even music into a scene.

The will learn about working with others to reach an end product, as they create this book review.

An introduction to new technology techniques can help them to develop that desire to learn something new!
