My students need a Chromebook for research, 2 Canon PowerShot digital cameras, a Chromakey Background panel for display to capture their learning and transform their work.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very excited about using and learning about technology in the classroom, however, we do not have enough funds to purchase devices due to our school being Title I. Many of my students come from a low-income family and are not able to be exposed to new and innovative technology.
In addition to that, Hurricane Harvey affected many families at our school.
That is mainly why my students are in need of motivation and excitement in order to have a distraction from the stress Harvey has brought to their families.
My Project
I would like to implement photography in the daily learning of my students. Cameras and video equipment is all around us and many projects incorporate these items. My project involves getting these cameras and video equipment for my students. Having cameras in our classroom will teach the students how to capture one another's learning, as well as broadcasting. The students will be having fun, preforming and learning.
The students will be able to transform their captured pictures and complete collages, presentations, info-graphics, as well as complete news casts for their fellow students.
The students will use their photos to present what they are learning in their classroom. Taking photos will create a different class atmosphere. The students will use the Chromebooks for research on topics for newscasts. Our eventual goal is a newscast for the entire school. This is one of the uses of the green screen that we hope to receive.
My hope is that my students will take another step in the preparation for a future technological workplace. Thank you .
