My Students
As a public school teacher of 11 years I have grown fond of my students, their families and culture. My students are hardworking, inner-city students who are in need of access to opportunities. This access will be what helps to close the achievement gap and propel them to greater heights.
My students are your students and they are part of the change we all wish to see in education.

My Project
We currently only have one camera that has to be shared across the entire class. This limits the access to opportunity to take photos for the yearbook and give the students buy-in and ownership.
The unknown is all around us and hopefully, if we return to school in person our kids will have community building activities that will engage them as well.
Having these items ready for them will help me be prepared and that is invaluable as a teacher. There is nothing more important as a teacher than to be prepared.
