My Students

Students at my school sometimes seem as if they live under a dome: It is my first priority to expose them to new things. I teach Pathways 7/8, which is the modern version of a careers class.

The slogans for the class are "Make a Living" and "Get a Life"!

Students learn about careers, themselves, perform service learning, and enjoy personalized learning. Some have passions that I coach them to pursue, and others have no idea what they want in life.

My Project

These robotics kits will show kids that technology is fun, and within reach for them as a subject.

Our region is remote and our students are underexposed to technology.

We are trying hard to expose all of our students, and especially our girls, to the possibilities for a career within STEM industries.

We also have many students that thrive with hands-on collaborative learning, and attentional issues that have been soothed by the one robotics kit I have been able to afford so far.

More robotics supplies will also be used to power personalized learning, where students can pick activities that they want to pursue.
