My students need to understand the nine intelligences and what they mean. Studying “You’re Smarter Than You Think; A Kid’s Guide to Multiple Intelligences” will be a great way to help them.
All of my students have been identified as gifted learners based on their intellectual potential. They are smart! In fact, they are smarter than they think they are. They are learning that being smart is more than just getting good grades in school or being a good reader. Some are gifted in words, some in music. Others are gifted in logical thinking or art.
They are funny, quirky, and creative bundles of excitable energy!
These students require educational experiences and enrichment beyond those normally provided by the regular school program.
My Project
We need 18 copies of “You’re Smarter Than You Think; A Kid’s Guide to Multiple Intelligences” which will provide a great way to help them. This project will allow students to participate in a study of "You're Smarter Than You Think You Are; A Kid's Guide to Multiple Intelligences." They will begin a great adventure that will be a lifelong journey to develop, understand, and enjoy all the ways they are smart. The study will set them on the path to continue growing and learning in their teen years and well beyond.
An understanding of the intelligences will not only build their awareness of who they are, how they learn, and who they can be, but it will also help them understand and get along better with the people around them.
