Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an elementary science teacher who loves to let her kids explore hands-on! I currently have 230 kids in grades kindergarten through fourth grade. I strive to teach my children to take an active roll in understanding the problems that face our community and state and how these affect the world. It is important that they realize each person has an important role to play in the world they live in today and the world they will create tomorrow.
Students are encouraged to think outside the box and to use their knowledge to create solutions for everyday problems.
The sky is the limit! This learning style is encouraged throughout the building by an attitude of respect, kindness, individuality, and creativity. Our building fosters a feeling of well-being and encourages students to be their best every day. Our school is a great place to be a kid!
In the fall of 2020 we will begin using a new science curriculum that is based online. Students will be using iPads to access the text, videos, and worksheets that pertain to our lessons. Upgraded technology would greatly help present the curriculum in the appropriate manner.
My Project
The new curriculum that we will be using next year will be in an online format. This TV will allow me to use my Apple TV I already have to better present the material to my students. They will have access to iPads but when doing group instruction, this TV will offer the ultimate experience in classroom presenting.
Students today are technology savvy.
They want to be engaged and love to experience their world through video and exploration. This TV will allow me to bring the world into our classroom. We will have the opportunity to visit places far and abroad in the comfort of our own classroom.
