My students need Chromebooks for personalized learning in the classroom. Because of each of their unique backgrounds and interests, their learning will be most productive when it can be tailored to their exact needs.

The students I get the privilege of teaching every single day are like no other students in the world. They come from a variety of backgrounds and each bring unique experiences to the classroom. Located in one of the country's most transient metropolitan areas and minutes from the world's busiest airport, I house a group of children who bring some of the most awe-inspiring experiences to the classroom.
My students are eager to learn no matter the circumstances.
They encounter sometimes difficult situations outside of the classroom, but we continue to focus on learning and making the world better, one grain of knowledge at a time.
With these Chromebooks, students will be able to access their own personalized learning pathways with which they can navigate the curriculum just as they need to do. If a student needs work with addition facts, he/she can access an online program or assessment to help with that skill. At the same time, another student can use his/her Chromebook to follow a learning pathway created by me that will enable him/her to improve writing and research skills.
All students are not the same, so why should they be taught in that way?
Our world of education is vastly moving in the direction of personalization. Having this added technology in the classroom will enable them to work at their own paces, address specific needs, and perform at a rate that makes sense for them.
Unfortunately, our school community is not able to provide enough technology to the students in order for them to benefit from personalized learning. These Chromebooks will truly make this innovative way of teaching and learning possible for them in ways of which they could only dream.
