I teach a stupendous group of smart second graders in a Title 1 school in Brooklyn.
They love reading, math, writing, art and sock monkeys! We use our interactive white board and our document camera every day to make learning more hands-on and exciting.
My Project
Our projector bulb is dimming and is on its way out! I would love to start the year off with a new bulb so I can replace the old one when it finally dies. This bulb is critical because we use our projector every day. We use it to project educational videos, to look at art work by our artist of the week, to play interactive games, to do shared reading, to look closely at growing plants, to model what to do during a math game, to solve math problems and to look at examples of students' writing. We can't use our interactive whiteboard or our document camera without the projector bulb. My students are totally engaged when we use these technological tools. Everyone can see what is projected on the screen at once and it really livens up our lessons. I wouldn't want to go a day without using our projector!
