My Students

Many students come to history class with the preconceived notion that it is boring, un-needed, and a waste of time. Some of this may be because they may have never been truly engaged in the learning. Meeting the needs of the 21st-century learner is important to engaging.

Using technology in the classroom is a great tool to increase engagement in course material and prepare scholars for life outside of the classroom.

Helping students learn and engage in course work is the goal of all teachers.

My Project

The interactive whiteboard will help with engagement. Daily whiteboard use can be replaced with interactive lessons and learning to increase engagement in student learning. Now students will be able to interact with the lesson and have a stake in their own learning. It creates a buy in from the learners.

Help me increase the depth of knowledge of my students and help students learn and increase technology literacy.

Many students are fluent in using smart phones but lack other computer or technology skills. Using more technology in the classroom will allow for more engagement and access to technology. Thank you for your support.
