My Students
I teach in an inner-city public school which houses a program for Autistic Impaired Learners. We have a diverse population of students with various Autism Spectrum Disorders.
My classroom consists of eighteen children, two of whom are on the Autism Spectrum.
All my students are the kindest and hardworking students you will ever meet. They are so genuinely thoughtful and selfless. Watching how all students accept one another for their unique and beautiful differences is truly amazing. I am the luckiest teacher on the planet!
My Project
The SMART Board will allow my students to interact with the curriculum in a whole new way. The SMART Board will increase the opportunities for learning.
To increase student collaboration, a SMART Board will allow students to immediately share their work with their peers.
I can create interactive games targeting skills for students to review in an engaging format. Students will be able to identify phonemes and phonics skills during reading intervention. For group projects, a SMART Board will keep every student held accountable. The SMART Board will also boost the confidence of students by providing a different method of communicating their learning.
The SMART Board Exchange will also allow me to better lessons for my students.
