My students need art supplies like paint, clay, and a stow & go art easel to enhance creativity, critical thinking, community, collaboration, and communications.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students have not gained the knowledge that art appreciation and economics can improve collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, and the community. What better way to enhance these skills!
My students are the cream of crop or also known as Gifted and Talented.
These students are motivated by hands-on, creative, and critical thinking activities. There are a total of 192 students who will benefit from this project in grades 1st-5th. My school is located in a poverty community in the south. Our test scores indicate that we are in need of improvement.
My Project
My students need art supplies: paint, clay, and a stow & go art easel to enhance creativity, critical thinking, community, collaboration, and communications. My students will begin each day by collaborating and thinking critically about a famous piece of art work. The students will utilize the requested resources to creatively construct a piece of art work of their own and use communication skills to describe the reasoning behind the piece of art. We will gain an appreciation for the world of art by discussing how economics has an effect on each piece of art too.
All donations to this project will help me improve my classroom by incorporating collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication into every lesson.
The students' lives will forever be changed by gaining an awareness of art economics and an appreciation for art through collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication. I feel that the requested materials will better help to facilitate the learning of the above concepts in my classroom.
