My Project

The students in my class represent a wide variety of needs in literacy and math learning. In both of these areas, the best way to meet the needs of all learners is to work with them in small groups, while the rest of the class works in centers. Small group time is so rewarding as a teacher; you get to see the growth of your students as well as get to know your students as the unique individuals they are. Creating center activities can be time-consuming. Versa Tiles are a great self-correcting tool for all subject areas and are an easy center to implement. File Folder games for place value, fractions, and decimals and Bridge the Gap! cards will give me the ability to plan activities easily that will have the most impact while engaging students. The Accelerate Learning Kit will help with my small group activities and the range of needs.
