Small Group Work and Special Needs Remediation

My students need a group table as an area they can come to do small group work with me that is separate from their personal learning space.

My Students

The thing I love most about my students would be their personalities. At this age they are starting to discover more about themselves, what they like and dislike, and what they find amusing. It's fun to witness this journey throughout the year as they start to break out of their shells. My classroom is diverse in its learners. We have students who have received academic excellence all the way to those with specific learning disabilities. The culture and diversity are really quite varied. It is amazing to see students encourage, support, and help others who might be struggling. The environment in which they learn is definitely positive and upbeat.

My Project

This table will allow me to pull several students at the same time who are struggling with a specific subject or idea. It will be additional seating where I can constantly pull different students who need one on one or small group remediation. I will be able to provide re-teaching opportunities for difficult concepts and see where the students are at in their individual growth. It will be a more comfortable setting where they will feel less intimidated to ask questions about something they might not understand. This table would allow me more chances to detect and fix gaps before they become too significant. I want everyone in the classroom to feel successful in the subjects I teach, as well as the skills they need to be mastering
