The students in my school are economically disadvantaged, and we additionally are a federally designated Title I school. Located in Virginia, many of my students come from households of one parent. Our school provides breakfast and lunch at no charge to all of our students. Students come to school every day with excitement and eagerness to learn and interact with their classmates and teachers.
My three-year-old students come to school for their first time with little to no experience at any kind of education; therefore, my students are thirsty for knowledge and crave a guiding hand.
My goal as their teacher is to ensure that the students feel safe and that our class is a safe place to learn, even a second home for the children. Each day, I strive to reach every one of my students and help them to gain independence and confidence in their learning.
My Project
These chairs and this table will go a long way in helping the students in my class. My goal is to have this table right outside my classroom door so that I can pull students individually for assessments and for one-on-one activities. Also, this transitional chair and these flexible seating chairs will make a big difference for some of my special needs students in this class.
Please help my provide this table and chair set for my students in order to have a place for small groups/assessments/special needs student activities.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and for providing these supplies to my students. This will make a big impact on this class and in the years to come. I know it will impact other students from other classes as well who will be able to use these table and chairs. Thank you!
