My Students

I have a wonderful fourth grade class of kind and caring students. Many of my students are struggling readers and some are English language learners. Many are below grade level in their reading levels and need books that best fit them. My goal as a teacher is to get all my students to love reading no matter what level they read on.

My students are working on building reading skills that will allow them to enjoy a lifetime love of reading.

My hope is to provide students with books that interest them for independent reads as well as interesting read-aloud books to help them develop the skills they need to be successful readers.

My Project

Our Title I school strives to give our students every opportunity for success that it can, but sometimes there are factors out of our control. Now that we've come to terms with our new reality, I am looking at ways to improve and enhance my students' experience as much as possible. Over the last year, many of my students have developed a love of technology, and allowing us to incorporate this within our one-on-one, and small group will help activate student engagement.

This Apple iPad and its accessories will allow me to revolutionize the way I deliver small group instruction, individual instruction, and take interactive student notes.
