Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazingly hard workers. Each day, they spend half of their day learning a second language. Students are learning to read and write in Spanish and English, they are learning mathematical concepts in English, and the Scientific process in Spanish.
Each and ever student has worked incredibly hard this year to make amazing growth.
Many of my students entered 1st grade well below grade level. At this point in the year, many are working on closing the achievement gap. I am very proud of their effort and determination to keep going despite many obstacles that many of my students face.
I am a lucky to teacher to have these amazing students in my class.
My Project
The organization bins will help my students because all of their guided reading group books and math supplies will be in one easily accessible place. With the use of theses bins, I can have a folder for each of my guided reading groups and math groups in one easily accessible bin. When students come to work with me, they can grab their guided reading group folder or math folder and be able to get right to work.
My students need the easel so that they can see and interact with the new concepts they are learning.
With the easel at the teaching table, they will be able to easily see the skills we are working on.
