My students are a diverse group of third graders who love to learn. They come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. In our classroom, we celebrate our differences as we create a classroom community, embracing challenges and supporting each other.
Regardless of what happens outside the classroom, my amazing students come to school every day and give their best effort.
They embrace challenges, try new things, and get excited about all the progress they're making! We laugh, read, calculate, write, share, and most of all, try. I am excited to bring more resources to my fantastic kids.
In our classroom, students engage in small group learning every day in math, reading, and writing. Small group time allows me to meet the individual learning needs of each student in my classroom.
Stools are a necessary part of our small group meeting time.
We have two large kidney tables in our classroom, which enables a volunteer and me to both work with a small group at the same time. Our classroom chairs are too big and bulky to fit seven students at the table at one time. Stools enable all students to have access to vital small group instruction.
