Every school day, I love observing the different strengths each child possesses and how they grow so much each and every day! When you walk into my second grade classroom, you will see a room filled with scientists, musicians, artists, authors, athletes, dreamers, and scholars.
As a teacher, I am always looking for engaging ways to help transform my lessons to make them exciting and engaging for my 2nd graders!
Despite all of my students' academic differences, I love seeing them come together and work as a team!
This is my fifth year teaching in an elementary classroom and I couldn't be more thrilled to see these eager learners enter my classroom and continue to grow throughout the year! The 24 active learners in my classroom are all connected by homes in rural South Dakota. About 47% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.
My students are creative, fun, eager learners. I want to create unique experiences where they will remember their learning! These kids continuously put a smile on my face and are the reason I love coming to school each day!
My Project
These materials will be used in small group reading centers to help my students become better readers! We would use some of the games such as splat and pop sight words to help students become better at sight word practice. I have also included pencil cases to hold supplies to help students build spelling words and high frequency words. Some of those supplies are the magnetic tiles to connect words together, red heart felt letters to recognize "heart words", and also markers to write on the magnetic tiles to build the words. I have also included just a few other classroom materials we may use throughout the rest of the school year such as pencils, storage containers, library book holders, and so much more!
