This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title 1 School where all of the students receive free lunch. All of my students are English Language Learners. I teach a resource classroom, where my students not only face language barriers, but also learning disabilities.

My students benefit from visuals/manipulatives and different teaching strategies to learn and accomplish their academic and social goals.

They are in great need of effective resources and technology to continue working towards their goals using different strategies to target different learning styles.

My Project

Students will share but at least one iPad per small group (4-5) students will help them learn through "play". Students will also learn to take turns and wait patiently which is targeting social skills as well.

With the use of an iPad in my small group resource group, I will be able to target different learning styles and support student academic learning.

Students will be able to use an iPad through different activities and education applications such as, sight words, ABC mouse, Starfall etc. In addition, students will have fun while learning and interacting with peers. Students will be grateful if this project if funded!
