My students come from diverse backgrounds. I have English as a second language students. Some students have limited access to resources. We have an active school community that is highly involved in the school.
My classroom is full of wonderful, eager, active and curious 5th graders.
Engagement is key for my students. I want to be able to provide as many learning opportunities for my students as possible. I believe all students should have access to a multitude of diverse learning opportunities and resources.
My Project
This project will enhance our daily reading and math small groups. The math manipulatives will provide concrete, hands-on materials to help students better understand difficult math concepts.
Students will love having access to new materials and supplies during small groups.
The Cinderella books are used to compare and contrast the different versions of this highly recognized story. Having access to new versions will entertain and delight students.
The digital timers and buzzers will be used to create accountability with the students. Students will be able to monitor the time they are spending on tasks which will hold them accountable for finishing their work.
