Help me give my students high quality intervention materials! A small-group teaching easel and games that target basic skills will allow me to better serve my special needs students during small group intervention lessons!
I teach Special Education Resource. The students I teach already have to work extra hard to achieve on the same level as their non-disabled peers. Many of my students receive free breakfast as well as free or reduced rate lunch. Most of my students need to have hands-on experiences in order to make learning "stick". In order to provide these types of meaningful experiences for them, I need to provide them with math manipulatives and hi-lo readers.
"A child is not to be defined by what they can't do, but by what they CAN!"
As a special education teacher, every day is a small-groups day! Each day, I have very limited time with my students and need to make a BIG impact!
Providing my students with engaging and entertaining materials and giving them close up examples with a small group whiteboard will allow me to make a bigger impact on my students every day!
Keeping my students engaged for a compact amount of time is one of the greatest challenges of being a special education teacher, but with these materials, I will be able to hold their attention as well as provide learning experiences that are FUN!
