This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade students are hard workers. They are eager to learn, hopeful for the future, and great citizens of our school. They love coming to school every day even though many struggle. We have fun each day, share many smiles and laughs, all while learning some great stuff!...As they say. They lack experiences in the real world which is why ordinary experiences to them can be fascinating. They love to learn...and I love seeing that excitement when they are exposed to something new!

My Project

I have a larger-than-average population of at-risk students each year. Teaching whole group causes these kids to lose focus and not retain what's being taught. Using an easel during small group instruction will be a great way to use magnets, chart paper, or markers to help ensure they are learning the material being presented, not getting lost and behind. I love that it's portable and can be on the floor or on a table. We can learn anywhere! We have some flexible seating spots, and all of this will make coming to the small group more of a reward than a chore. They will love this.
