My Students

Our school is the epicenter of the community. The families that attend have been doing so for generations. The focus of the school is to provide quality education to all students.

My students excel despite their home environment which shows their resilience and determination.

These students come to school with achy stomachs and are oftentimes sleep derived. Our goal is to provide a safe learning environment so that each student can feel valued and appreciated. We make sure every minute is used to encourage students to excel.

My Project

I have seen so much growth in my students this year emotionally. I listen to students use language that shows empathy and compassion towards one another in multiple areas of our school building. As a part of the MTSS team, I would like to further build on those skills by offering more attention to those students that may benefit from instruction in a smaller group setting.

These students would focus on social and emotional skills to help them with self-regulation and as well as other topics that are identified as necessary to address.

The digital card will purchase lessons and handouts on Teachers Pay Teachers that will help support the topics discussed in small group lessons. I expect they will build stronger partnerships with their teachers and their peers at the end of their group lessons.
